Welcome to the Fort Wayne Chapter of the Christ Child Society’s webpage. As with other Christ Child Society chapters across the country, we are inspired by this motto of our founder, Mary Virginia Merrick.
“Nothing is ever too much to do for a child.”
Chartered in 1998, our Chapter volunteers reach out to teach, motivate and care for children and mentor parents in ways that best respond to the unique needs of our community. What remains the same with all CCS volunteers across the United States is the desire to infuse each act of service with the love of Christ, seeing in each child served, the Christ Child Himself.
We continue to share and expand on Mary Virginia Merrick’s vision and seek ways to fill critical needs in today’s social services. With the generosity of our community, and the dedication of our volunteers, we hope to break the cycle of poverty with our outreach to at-risk children in our community.
